The requirement here was to design, supply and commission a complete lighting control system for the landlord controlled external and internal lighting areas of this prestigious office development. Energy efficiency and controllability were part of the client’s major requirements.
Working closely with the client it was established that we would provide fully addressable switching to all luminaries using intelligent C-BUS relay modules. These could then be controlled by the landlord in various ways. PIR movement detection was used in designated areas with lighting time schedules also adopted to cover these and other areas. Light Level Sensors were incorporated into the external system allowing for monitoring of the ambient light levels.
To control the whole system a centralised Touch Screen was installed in the Reception/Security area of the building, from here the lighting can be switched manually, the time schedules amended or the light levels adjusted thus enabling the landlord the most efficient means of saving energy and reducing costs whilst maintaining the correct lighting.
